This month in @ion_magazine I had a go at making a very modern Christmas tree made of floating baubles. Here are some of @susielowephoto lovely photos as we sat very still not breathing so the baubles wouldn’t move. I’ll be honest, it was like a scene from the darkest corners of Geppetto’s imagination as I ended up like some poor hapless dolphin tangled up in miles of invisible thread, whimpering to a tiny green hummingbird. Gads it’s been a while, there’s been illness, car accidents and dry rot but I’ve emerged from the gloom and been very occupied with a really exciting commercial project. It’s all very new for me but the principles of good design remain the same, whatever the project. My client wanted someone with a less industrial approach to design their new offices.
