TRANQUIL GETAWAY ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF EDINBURGH

As part of the redevelopment of the historic Penicuik Estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh, we were tasked with the reimagining of 5 properties in partnership with SuHuHa architects, set on one of the most important designed landscapes of the 18th Century. Never taking ourselves too seriously, we wanted to create a restful getaway with layers of fun patterns and shapes over a moody back drop of earthy tones. The property's heritage was honoured with classic joinery design and antique pieces while introducing fresh, contemporary elements to represent this very sweet cottage’s next chapter.
